Alberto Santorsola – Flute and Piccolo player

Biography


Born in Nicosia, Cyprus, in 2002. At the age of eleven he began studying the flute. He graduated the Bachelor at the Conservatory of Music of Frosinone “L. Refice” with full grades, cum laude.

He furthered his studies at the Foundation “International Campus of Music”, Latina, with M° Mario Caroli, professor of flute at the Hochschule für Musik Freiburg.

He has studied with M° Matteo Evangelisti, Principal Flute of the Teatro dell’Opera in Rome, with M° Peter Verhoyen, Principal Piccolo of the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra and Piccolo professor at the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp, Belgium, and with M° Egbert Jan Louwerse, Flute professor at the Prince Claus Conservatoire in Groningen, The Netherlands.

In the 2021 season he participated in artistic activity of the Orchestra Sinfonica di Lecce e del Salento-OLES. In the same year he was eligible for the auditions of the Orchestra Giovanile di Roma and the Orchestra “Apulian Youth Symphony Orchestra-AYSO”.  In the 2024 he was eligible for the audition of the Orchestra Regionale del Friuli Venezia Giulia.

He performed as a soloist together with M° Bruno Paolo Lombardi with the Chamber Orchestra of the IIC, Brussels in 2022.

He founded and he’s the Artistic Director of the ensemble “La Vivaldiana”, in which he performs at numerous concerts as a soloist, receiving unanimous acclaim from the public and critics. 

He regularly plays flute-guitar duo, ranging from baroque to contemporary, in fact, many compositions have been dedicated to him in the first performance.  

Since 2023, he has held Artistic Secretary’s Position in LazioCulturaEventi LCE – APS Association regarding concert and masterclass organization.

He plays in duo with Maestro Michelangelo Carbonara.
